A night honoring central Missouri women entrepreneurs, benefiting the Missouri Women's Business Center
The Women Who Own It Awards honors eight outstanding woman entrepreneurs who have demonstrated talent, leadership, and a commitment to their local community. Each Entrepreneur of the Year, one each from eight Central Missouri counties, will be celebrated and given an opportunity to share about their business endeavors and community involvement.

The Missouri Women's Business Center (MoWBC) is an Small Business Administration (SBA)-funded program of Central Missouri Community Action. The MoWBC assists entrepreneurs in all stages of business by providing resources, support, and mentoring. Offerings include free one-on-one counseling, low-cost training events, business planning services and more. The MoWBC depends on local partnerships and donations to operate in an eight-county service area as part of a match requirement through SBA. Since opening in 2016, the MoWBC has helped launch over 20 businesses and provided training and counseling to over 1000 women in Mid-MO.
